About five years ago, we just wanted a better place for our own guitars.

There wasn't a business behind it. We made one because we wanted one. Then another. Then we changed things.

And kept changing them.

TWO WAYS TO HANG WELL.

Same core idea. Two different expressions. Silhouette Essential keeps it beautifully simple. Silhouette Glow adds light, power, and control.

SILHOUETTE ESSENTIAL

BARE BONES MODEL

Designed to feel secure, look clean, and work either on the wall or on the floor.

The guitar settles into the lower cradle instead of simply leaning against the stand.

The upper cradle is shaped around the neck and uses magnetic positioning to help keep the instrument aligned.

The important contact points are padded so hard wood does not sit directly against the instrument.

The same mounting holes are used for the wall installation and our Freestander, so one display can work in two different ways.

Threaded inserts reinforce the mounting points to help reduce wear from repeated assembly and use.

Small-batch production with hands-on cutting, sanding, finishing and assembly.

SILHOUETTE GLOW

ENHANCED WITH LIGHTS

Everything in Essential, enhanced with rechargeable lighting, wireless control, and flexible power.

Glow starts with the same physical support system as Essential and adds lighting, power and wireless control.

A rechargeable battery and power-bank system replaces disposable AAA batteries.

Glow can run from its battery, charge through USB-C, or stay plugged in using the included 2m USB-C cable.

The switch helps prevent phantom battery drain while the power bank remains connected inside the routed back.

RF control means you do not need to point the remote directly at the display.

Use the supplied wireless controls or connect through a compatible Bluetooth lighting app.

TWO PEOPLE. ONE VERY LONG SIDE PROJECT.

Hung Well started with two people making something they wanted for themselves. Five years later, we're still cutting, sanding, wiring, testing and arguing over millimeters.

THE SHORT VERSION

We build around common guitar and bass silhouettes, with Custom available when an instrument needs something more specific.

If you're unsure about a particular instrument, that's something we can confirm before a build.

BOTH.

The Silhouette can be mounted on the wall or used on the floor with our Freestander. The same mounting points are used for both configurations.

One piece. Two ways to live with it.

THE CONTACT POINTS

The instrument settles into the lower strap-button cradle and the neck holder, with felt padding used at the points where the instrument meets the display.

The whole idea is to make it feel secure, not merely interesting to look at.

CABLE-FREE OR PLUGGED IN

Glow uses a rechargeable battery / power-bank system. Run it cable-free, recharge through USB-C, or leave it connected with the included 2m USB-C cable for continuous use.

No pile of disposable AAA batteries required.

BECAUSE OFF SHOULD MEAN OFF.

Glow has a top-mounted analog switch that provides a physical power cutoff while the power bank remains connected inside the routed back.

It also helps prevent unwanted phantom battery drain.

NO LINE OF SIGHT.

Glow uses a 2.4GHz RF wireless remote rather than infrared, so you don't need to point the remote directly at the display.

It can also be controlled through a compatible third-party Bluetooth app.

THAT'S WHY CUSTOM EXISTS.

Different silhouettes, finishes, personal builds, venue pieces, B2B work and ideas that don't fit neatly into Essential or Glow are all fair game.
